Our Parent & Child groups are aimed at children who have cerebral palsy or other conditions that cause difficulty with movement such as global developmental delay or Down’s syndrome.
The groups place parents at the forefront of their child’s learning, developing partnerships between parents, children and highly skilled staff members.
We work with two aims: to support children in their development and to support parents, carers and wider families to work with their children and foster their ongoing development.
We offer various activities for children including:
- Parent & Child groups for babies and toddlers
- groups for children with developmental delay
- groups for children with Down’s syndrome.
We also run holiday sessions at Easter and during the summer break.
Through carefully structured groups we help children to develop their social, emotional, communication, cognitive and physical skills. The sessions also provide an opportunity for children to develop their social skills and for parents to meet up and share experiences.

We are part of SCOPE’s School for Parents network.
Groups for children aged 0-3 are free of charge. For older children whose parents are in financial need, we offer support to apply for grants to cover the cost of our sessional services.
We are grateful to BBC Children in Need for their support for these sessions.
