We are supporting Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week 2016 on Wednesday 5 October.
World Cerebral Palsy Day is an annual awareness event led by and for people with cerebral palsy and their families in more than 50 countries.
Its vision is to raise awareness of the issues facing children and adults with cerebral palsy and to ensure they have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in their communities.
The movement starts with a fundamental declaration: I AM HERE – WE ARE HERE
Read our school children’s fantastic All About Us poem.
Also, read two great blogs from:
- Toby Morrison (one of our past pupils) who has some great tips for young adults with cerebral palsy, and
- Kerri Morgan (our speech and language therapist) on her recent visit to meet families in Ghana.
And our shops are joining in the GREEN theme of the day – here are our Muswell Hill and Essex Road branches.
